FLAIR MAILBAG
Last week's Flair had readers saying "Amen" to some of our articles. Here are a few of the responses.

Inquisitive behavior

I am an avid reader of The Gleaner and an article in Flair, dated May 18, entitled 'The right to privacy', by The Soloist moved me to comment.

I must say I totally agree with the article as at times both men and women, because of their inquisitive behaviour, end relationships that might have been successful if it weren't for their prying eyes or if they had respected each other's privacy.

I always use the quotes: 'Treat others as you wish to be treated' and 'Never investigate unless you are prepared to deal with your discovery'. These allow me to put myself in the other person's position to try to understand how I would feel.

Even within the family, there are people who are inquisitive just because they want to 'find out you business'. They put themselves in the position to get hurt or be disappointed and they deserve everything that they uncover.

This may also be as a result of a lack of trust, especially if it is an intimate relationship, but I believe that if there is no trust, the relationship should not exist.

The article was a good one. Continue to bring exciting and informative articles to the Jamaican people and the world.

'Puss in bag'

I agree with both sides of your question. In some cases, women are giving men a 'puss in bag', but think of the persons who have no other choice. There are professionals who, without the enhancements such as weaves and braids, would not have been even considered for the job because without them they don't look presentable. Many have hair that does not stay in place, is short, or is not presentable without a little braid or weave.

The problem is the amount of make-up that some females use. You could scrape the excess off to use on another person. This is the problem with enhancements. As for the padded underwear, the man will eventually realise that you weren't showing him the 'real deal' when the two of you become intimate. And how long after this do you think he will stay if he wants a woman with a body part which you only have if you wear padded underwear?

Some women do take enhancements to the extreme and these are persons guilty of giving men 'puss in bag'. Do not generalise because some women are unable to do without these enhancements.
