With Sunderland one of four teams facing the threat of relegation, their prized Trinidadian striker Kenwyne Jones says he is deeply focused on the clash with Chelsea on what will be a tense last day of the Barclays Premier League (BPL) today.

Sunderland, Newcastle, Hull and Middlesbrough will all be involved in a relegation scrap as they desperately seek to avoid the drop to the league championship.

Two of them will join West Bromwich Albion who have already been relegated following their loss last weekend.

"All we can do is play well and do our best for Sunderland. On the pitch, you can't waste time thinking about the different scenarios," said the lanky frontman who has already scored 11 goals this season.

"You would end up putting too much pressure on yourself, and there is enough pressure with our situation as it is.

"I just want to be focused on my performance, making sure it is the best I can produce for this club and when the final whistle blows in our game, then we will all find out what it means."

Sunderland are 16th on 36 points, just two points above the drop zone and can be overtaken by both Hull and Newcastle below them if they lose to Chelsea, and the duo win their respective matches.

Hull face what is expected to be a depleted Manchester United side who lifted the title last Saturday, while Newcastle are up against Aston Villa.

"I have not experienced the drama of a season going to the last game before. There are a few teams who will be hoping results go their way," said Jones.
