Disappointed in Montague
The Editor, Sir:

I am writing this letter to say how upset and disappointed I am at our Member of Parliament for Western St Mary, Robert 'Bobby' Montague.

I can recall when he was mayor of Port Maria, how hard-working he was. Every other night he was on the news defending the rights of the people and bashing the then MP. Many believed in him and thought if he became our next MP, he would do an excellent job.

Where is he?

But, to my dismay, since he has won we have hardly seen or heard from him. The problems we had with the roads and bridges that he spoke strongly about when in Opposition have become worse. I speak of the main road from Port Maria to Bailey's Vale, and from Jack's River to Oxford via Free Hill. There is also a bridge in Oracabessa which is just waiting on the right circumstance to cause its collapse.

Where is that hard-working, outspoken man whom the people of St Mary elected?

I am, etc.,

P. COLEMAN
