Writing to Emma - I'm a proud mom
Hi Emma,
I read your article and kept nodding my head from start to finish (well almost!). I am the proud mom of a five-month-old, and believe me, to say that I was inundated with information in the preparation phase is an understatement. My head became a blur ... that is until I decided to part with all the literature (I mean literally!) and the 'friendly' advice from 'moms-in-the-know'.

Trying to prepare

I have found that if you listen to all that you hear or read in trying to prepare for, or to rear your child, you will end up like that man in the story of the man, his son and the donkey coming from market ... ever read that story in primary school?

Keep writing interesting pieces.

Emma responds ...

Dear Donna,

Thank you for writing to me. It's good to hear from someone who has felt the way I do about all of this! I intend to see what works best for my child, my husband and me!

I do know the story, yes.

All the best,

Emma
