Melbourne crushed
POINTE-A-PIERRE, Trinidad (CMC):Maple of Barbados won handsomely while and Jamaican club Melbourne were crushed as they experienced contrasting starts to their campaigns in the West Indies Players Association Twenty20 Club Champions League on Friday night.

While Maple easily beat Invaders by 11 runs in the first match of the evening, Melbourne were soundly whipped by nine wickets by Trinidad & Tobago's PowerGen, playing at Guaracara Park.

Melbourne were bundled out for a paltry 46 off 15.5 overs with West Indies fast bowler Ravi Rampaul and out-of-favour left-arm spinner Dave Mohammed both claiming three wickets for two runs.
