The Editor, Sir:Today's noted critics of Jamaica's education system, like Peter Espeut in his most recent column, for example, readily know where to point the finger of blame, or so they think, but seldom waste much time offering detailed solutions.

Problems with US embassy
The Editor, Sir:I have long abhorred the way in which Jamaicans have been treated by the US Embassy in Kingston and this feeling has returned during my recent interaction with them.

Other alternatives
Much more can be done to encourage self-sufficiency in this country.
