Jamaica stretched their reign as No. 1 in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) to six consecutive months yesterday when FIFA released its May ratings.

Retaining 70th position on the FIFA Coca Cola ratings for the third month in a row, Jamaica's Reggae Boyz remained at the pinnacle of the CFU ratings.

Trinidad and Tobago, currently off the pace in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying campaign to South Africa 2010, edged up one place on FIFA's list to 74th and remain second to the Jamaicans on the regional rankings table.

Cuba, 100th on the world list, remain third.

Grenada, surprise runners-up to Jamaica in the Digicel Caribbean Championship last December, retain fourth spot in the CFU with a climb of five places to 103rd in the world.

Bermuda (115th) stay fifth and Antigua and Barbuda (116th) are sixth.

One positional change

There is only one positional change on the CFU this month, with Barbados displacing the declining Haiti at No. 7. The Haitians were the region's top team 17 months ago and the CFU's 2007 Team of the Year.

They were fourth in the region as recently as March, but dropped three places on FIFA's list this month to 122, while Barbados gained three places to climb to 120th.

The CFU's Top 10 is completed by Guyana (127th) and Suriname (129th).

The USA - 15th in the world - are CONCACAF's No. 1 for the eighth month in a row ahead of Mexico, who are 25th in FIFA, followed by Honduras (39th), Costa Rica (41st) and Panama (60th).

The Jamaicans are sixth in the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football, followed by T&T and Canada (89th).
