Retreat on the advance
Retreat Primary and Junior High School topped the competitive events at the recently held St Mary 4-H Clubs' Achievement Day at the Oracabessa High School.

Second place went to Marymount High School and third to St Mary High School.

Retreat Primary and Junior High won eight first places, while Marymount High and St Mary High won five and four first places, respectively.

Hot competition

A total of 35 clubs from various schools and com-munities in the parish participated in the day's activities, which included competition in cake baking and decorating, meal preparation, sandwich making, table setting, floral arrangements, goat care, rabbit care, cattle judging, budding and grafting, public speaking, circumposing, school gardening and potting.

St Mary Technical High's Delano Butler emerged the St Mary 4-H Boy of the Year, while Khrystal Binns of St Mary High School was crowned Girl of the Year.
