School supports Martha's House
STAFF AND students of St George's College joined other Jamaicans who have donated to the children of Martha's House who lost their belongings in a fire at the Mustard Seed Communities home in March.

Martha's House, located on North Street, central Kingston, was home to 30 children until it was destroyed by the blaze.

Students and staff contributed food items which were presented to Natalia Fong Kong of Mustard Seed by first-form student Martin Davis. Davis was accompanied by Dave Soares, lower school vice-principal, Margaret Campbell, principal, and Davia Campbell, form teacher.

"The tin drive was conducted as an outreach to help others in need and to teach our students to have a social conscience," said Soares. "The response from the students was overwhelming and we will continue to do these drives for Mustard Seed and other charitable institutions."
