Tivoli Gardens had revenge on their minds when they slammed rivals Boys' Town 4-0 in the Digicel Premier League to end the penultimate round of the compe-tition on a high note at Collie Smith Drive yesterday.

Led from start

Still smarting from a 3-0 loss in the Flow Champions Cup KO final on the weekend, the west Kingston team made their intentions known from the outset, and after an extended spell of pressure, they led through Roland Dean in the 36th minute.

Oraine Simpson's header put them two up in the 40th, Dean netted again in the 87th and Jameel Thompson's free kick completed the rout in time added for stoppages.

"We did most of our work off the field, we let them know we had to bounce back, we couldn't just lose like that and not respond," said Tivoli's coach, Lenworth Hyde Sr. "We have one round to go I have been saying from the get-go we are not out of it so we just intend to keep winning games."

Huge setback

Boys' Town's coach, Andrew Price, said: "It was a disgraceful performance. We just didn't show up to play today. It's a huge setback, our chances of winning the Premier League may just have evaporated, but we will look to put it behind us and prepare for Sunday."
