Portmore maintain six-point lead
Anthony Minott, Gleaner Writer

Portmore United secured a hard fought 0-0 draw with second place Harbour View at Ferdie Neita Park yesterday, to maintain their six-point lead atop the standings in the Digicel Premier League.

Portmore inched to 67 points, while Harbour View moved to 61 points.

"We played well in patches. It was a tough game to play in the muddy conditions, we fought hard, they came at us, they got a few chances to score, but I thought we got the better chances," nsaid Portmore's coach, Linval Dixon. "We should've at least scored one goal, but it was a good result for our team."

With only five rounds in the fourth and final round, Harbour View's assistant coach, Andrew Hines, was predictably dissapointed.

"Nil-all wasn't the result we were expecting to get. However, a lot of things factored into that happening. The condition of the field is one, plus, I thought Portmore fought well."

Afternoon showers

Afternoon showers softened the turf and affected the level of play, but both Harbour View and Portmore missed chances. The game ended on a sour note as Harbour View's Dicoy Williams got a second booking on the stroke of full time and was shown a red card.
