NEW YORK (AP):
Former world-record holder Asafa Powell and reigning world champion Tyson Gay are on track to face off at the Reebok Grand Prix next month.
Women's sprint stars Shelly-Ann Fraser and Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica and American Allyson Felix are also set to compete at the meet in New York City on May 30.
MUMBAI, India (AP):
The International Cricket Council has moved its 2011 World Cup headquarters to Mumbai and increased India's allocation of matches after stripping Pakistan of co-hosting rights following a terror attack last month on the Sri Lanka team.
India will host 29 of the 49 matches, including the final and a semi-final. Bangladesh will host the tournament opener and two quarter-finals among its eight matches and Sri Lanka will host 12 matches, including a semi-final.
ATLANTA, Georgia (CMC):
Leon Garrick continued his rich vein of form to help UBA Caribbean to a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Vibes Sports Club in the Georgia Supreme League last Saturday. Garrick earned the Man-of-the-Match award, when he hit an undefeated 81, as UBA, chasing 215 to win from their allocation of 40 overs, reached their target with 30 balls to spare at Burdette Park in College Park.
The innings was a follow-up to 153 that the former Jamaica and West Indies opener hit in the previous week's round of matches.
PARIS (AP):
Defending Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has been struggling on the track so far this season and it could get worse for the British driver if he is severely punished today for bringing the sport into disrepute.
Hamilton has earned only seven points through the first four F1 races this season, trailing championship leader Jenson Button by 22. He could fall further behind if the World Motor Sport Council in Paris punishes his McLaren team for lying to race stewards at last month's Australian Grand Prix.
