HWT's colourful eyesores
The Editor, Sir:

I must say how shocked I was on seeing the bright red vendor stalls, sponsored by Digicel, that have been placed all around the park in Half-Way Tree. I know that the wood stalls that were there before were eyesores, but these red stalls? Couldn't the stalls be painted in a colour that would make them fit better with the ambience and environment of the park?

As bad as these stalls look from the front view, from the rear they are worse. Come on, Mr Mayor - surely your office needs to work with corporate sponsors to ensure that the stalls enhance the image of our city. Frankly, I think Digicel should pay the KSAC to have these stalls in the city, as they seem to be far more about promoting and advertising the company and its products than enhancing our beautiful city.

I am, etc.,
