The event will see over 1,000 athletes from 27 preparatory schools in Kingston, St Andrew, St Catherine, Clarendon and Manchester participating in 22 track and field events.
The Covenant/Globe Over-Distance track meet is the first one on the preparatory schools sporting calendar and helps to build the strength of young athletes who are preparing for the inter-prep track and field championship - pushing them beyond the distances they would normally run at that championship.
Competition will take place in the 400m and 200m for Class One girls; the 500m and 300m for Class One boys; the 150m and 100m for Class Two girls; and the 200m and 150m for Class Two boys.
In Class Three, there will be 90m and 60m races for girls and for boys. Class One boys and girls will also participate in the 4 x 300m relay - while Class Two boys and girls will run the 4 x 200m and Class Three boys and girls will compete in the 4 x 100m.
The meet will also see competition in long jump for boys and girls, classes One and Two.
The meet's defending champion is Quest Prep.
