An apology to our visitors
The Editor, Sir:

I am a Jamaican living abroad, and I am very shocked to see the hijacking episode that took place there. I just give God thanks that everything worked out well, and hope that this will not tarnish our image. Jamaica is a beautiful island, and I hope that the churches will come together and pray like our dear Lord above wants us to do.

It is very unfortunate that this happened, but as a Jamaican I know that we will learn from our mistakes.

I take this opportunity to apologise to all the visitors and crew who were affected. I also want to extend gratitude to the awesome job that was performed by the Jamaican security forces.

I am, etc.,
