H View hold Waterhouse
Ainsley Walters, Gleaner Writer

HARBOUR VIEW, yesterday, scored in the final minute, twice rallying from a goal down to hold Waterhouse to a 2-2 Digicel Premier League draw at Drewsland.

Towering defender Dicoy Williams saved second-place Harbour View the blushes against sixth-place Waterhouse, rising above defenders to head in Jermaine Hue's cross from the right side of the 18-yard box after Jonathan Williams netted his second goal of the match to put Waterhouse 2-1 ahead in the 83rd minute.

Williams gave Waterhouse the lead in the 31st minute, booting in from inside the six-yard box after Vincent Earle poked a pass to him from the right side of the box.

Match tied up

However, Harbour View tied up the match five minutes after the break when Lovel Palmer floated a teasing cross from the left flank into Richard McCallum's six-yard box, dragging the Waterhouse keeper off his line but high enough to have him changing his mind as the ball went to the back post where striker Errol Steven gleefully headed in.

Waterhouse went ahead for the second time through good work from ace midfielder Kenardo Forbes, who chased a ball to near the touchline on the right side of Harbour View's goal and laid off a pass to the wiry Williams closing in at the penalty spot.

With Harbour View goalie Dwayne Miller caught out of position in his attempt to cover Forbes at his near post, Williams buried a firm grounder to the back post.

Longing for a win

Believing they had the match sewn up, Waterhouse's fans, longing for a win to ensure their side remain among the top six for the fourth and final round, were in for a shocker as a seemingly harmless cross going away from goal was redirected to the back post by Williams, beating a stunned McCallum.

In three other matches played yesterday, Roland Dean and Navion Boyd scored to give Tivoli a 2-1 win over Sporting Central at Brancourt. Jermaine Christian (10th) scored for Sporting.

St Georges, with goals from Damion Harewood (41st) and Leon Irving (73rd) clipped Reno 2-1. Omar Johnson (82nd) got Reno's consolation goal. Arnett Gardens and Village drew 0-0 at Tony Spaulding Complex.
