IT IS assumed that, as Jamaicans, we always have sex on our minds because of the various raunchy dance moves and songs that are a big part of our culture.

However, in spite of early exposure to sex, many Jamaicans, especially men, do not have a clue as to how to please their partner, sexually. Too often you hear women complain that Jamaican men take a 'splash and dash' approach to sex. Some maintain that men are more into 'daggering' than pleasing them.

Women also complain that some men are too eager to reach the finish line, forgetting that it is not about who comes first, but about mutual pleasure. While a quickie can be fun, there's just no need to rush when it comes to lovemaking.

Women also have hang-ups. Many men complain that some of them are too boring and only want to go 'missionary'. But, if women want a healthy sexual relationship, they should be willing to do a little exploring to create their own adventure and not limit themselves in the bedroom.

1 Backshot: Also known as 'backas': It is a very popular and effective way for a woman to reach an orgasm.

2 Lizard lap: Man lies flat on his back while the woman is on top.

3 Doggie style: This is a variation of backshot.

4 Wheelbarrow (foot pon shoulder): Woman lies on back with legs resting on man's shoulder. Man usually kneels, facing woman.

5 69: There are two versions of this position. Think head to toe and let your imagination do the rest.

6 Sexy scissors: Woman lies flat on her back while man stands in front of her with her legs on his chest.

7 Cup and saucer: Man sits on surface, such as bed or chair, while woman sits on top and wraps her legs around him.

8 Reverse cowgirl: Man lies flat on back and woman sits on top of him facing his feet. Can also be done from sideways.

9 Scissors: Man and woman lie opposite to each other on their backs.

10 Head top: Woman usually lies on soft surface such as sofa or chair, with most of her body pointing upwards. Man stands over her on a chair.
