
Under-21 goal-shooter Crystal Gordon was the outstanding player in Jamaica's 2-1 series win over England in the three-Test series which ended at the G.C. Foster College in St Catherine on Thursday.
Gordon, a past student of Dunoon Technical who represents Jetsetters 'A' in the Berger Paints Super League competition, ended the series as the tournament's top shooter with a total of 95 goals from 118 attempts. Captain Christina Solmon was the next best shooter for the hosts with 32 goals from 38 tries.
35 goals from 45 attempts
Gordon scored 35 goals from 45 attempts to lead Jamaica to an easy 49-33 win in the opening match.
A day later, the 20-year-old Gordon picked up where she left off in the opening game, when she converted 28 goals from 36 tries, to lead the young Sunshine Girls to a series-clinching 43-29 victory in their second match. However, Gordon's 32 goals from 34 attempts in the final game of the series, was not enough as they were beaten 46-43 by England.
