ON SQUATTING:

Mer: The Government is afraid of squatters. The truth is that squatters' votes keep them in power and the Government knows that a harsh stance will perhaps ignite the fury of these people and so they cowardly refuse to deal with the issue.

ON THE ECONOMIC CRISIS:

MikeyD: When the international meltdown started last year, Mr Audley Shaw was quick to submit that it would not affect Jamaica. I guess he forgot that he was now one of the minister of finance and not on a political platform. Now that the rubber has hit the road and the dark clouds of economic gloom is bearing down on Jamaica, I am listening to hear how much of the pre-election pie-in-the-sky promises he will be man enough to retract, still wondering if he will be able to manage the ministry.

ON SALARY FREEZE

Shane: Take it or leave it, that's what I say; teachers need to understand the crisis that we are in and we all should be prepared to do with less. The Government can't afford it and that is understandable. We all have to get into the mind frame of a people who are patriotic, we all have to work together to better our nation.

Teachers work the least hours and have the most vacation days; they just need to be more patient.
