This drink is definitely for the brave at heart, according to bartender and supervisor at the Indies Pub and Grill, Yaquema Sewell. Just minutes after preparing the "Usain Bolt" drink special, the bartender noted that it is a favourite for men and the very courageous women who opt for a drink at the pub.
The pub has a set of drinks specially named in honour of our athletes and some, like Bolt's, were named prior to last year's historic Olympics.
Like the sports dynamo, Sewell says the drink is deliberately made very strong using the specially combined ingredients including whiskey. "It has whiskey which is very strong and it has a taste which hits you right after taking a sip," said Sewell. Served in a chilled martini glass, after a couple sips you may very well feel like a champion on a high.
Made in about 3-4 minutes, it may be less technical to make than other drinks at the Pub, but the rush it apparently gives is incomparable.
