Everybody needs to make sacrifices
The Editor, Sir:

Yes, I totally agree with Mr Golding's decision to cut his pay and ask for the same from all parliamentarians. It takes a brave man to do the good and wise thing. 'Think of others before you think of yourself,' thus God will bless you even more. With the economic crises that are facing the United States, it's not only the US that is and will be affected. It is the whole world. Everyone needs to make sacrifices in order to balance and help out the situation, and not make the situation worse for their country.

15 per cent cut:really nothing

Really, analysing the 15 per cent cut, they will be getting/taking, is really nothing, considering that they all were receiving that original amount when they went into Parliament. The increase of their salary is what helped to contribute to the increase in Government spending. To pay out their increase, everything facing the people has to be inflated too. So, now that they will be down to where they started, everything that was increased needs to be decreased also back to their original price before the increase, and possibly even lower so as to facilitate the people and help to decrease the violence which is due to wants in Jamaica. Greed is what is causing a lot of the worldwide crises and, if we all work together, we can overcome it all together.

I am, etc.,
