Organ bank would save lives
As a registered nurse, I was quite pleased with the prime minister's idea of an organ bank. I work in the United Kingdom as a nurse and have worked in a transplant unit. It is a wonderful thing for the PM to take forward as countless lives could be saved. Well done to the Medical Association of Jamaica for welcoming this. In a country such as ours, I think this would be a remarkable achievement to the benefit of all. I hope the wheels will start turning soon.

Good move Mr Bruce
The Editor, Sir:
I would like to say to the prime minister, "Well done". The shifts in Cabinet were necessary. I think the minister of national security has done some good things but it was not enough and his action and resolutions were too slow and at times vague.
What Jamaica needs right now is quick and decisive action to put some stability on crime and violence. Right now all of Jamaica was looking for the Colonel (Trevor MacMillan) to bring that venom that he used to have but he failed badly. As for the other ministers, this goes to show that you were put in these positions to work, not to warm bed. Jamaica needs workers and decision makers to uplift the country. I think Daryl Vaz is a worker and would make a good security minister.

More Cabinet reductions needed
Despite my preference for the People's National Party (PNP), I am happy that Mr Golding has reduced his Cabinet. However, I believe it needs to be reduced to much smaller.
The prime minister has been moving in the right direction in this matter. I must also commend the opposition and its leader, Mrs Simpson Miller, for their persistent calls for the Cabinet to be reduced. The fact that Mr Golding yielded to the voice of the Comrades, it is for sure that the PNP is alive and well. Lets us see what the future holds for us as a nation under the Golding administration.
