The draw for Saturday's 1000 and 2000 Guineas was conducted at Caymanas Park yesterday and this revealed that the 1000 Guineas favourite MISS RUTH will be ridden by the acclaimed American jockey Fernando Jara for the Husseys.
Jara, who won the 2007 Dubai World Cup aboard INVASOR, and the 2006 Belmont Stakes aboard JAZIL, replaces the filly's regular partner, jockey Dick Cardenas.
The young Panamanian jockey has also been 'jocked off' stable-companion NAVAL COMMANDER in the 2000 Guineas, which has attracted a maximum field of 16 colts and geldings over 1600 metres.
