Flags among banned items
The organisers of the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Athletic Championships have put in place stringent security measures to ensure a violence-free event.

Patrons attending the Championships will be subjected to being searched and all prohibited or restricted items (other than exceptions) will be confiscated.

Prohibited items

Prohibited or restricted items include alcoholic beverages, firearms or imitation firearms, flagpoles, glass containers, explosives, fireworks, cooler boxes, flares, knives, illegal drugs or narcotics, including ganja.

Other restricted items include megaphones, including com-pressed air or gas-operated horns, pepper spray, banners and flags, cans, tins or plastic bottles, umbrellas other than collapsible personal types and any other substance or item which is considered dangerous or offensive, disruptive or likely to infringe on the rights, safety or security of any person.

Traffic changes

Traffic will also be curtailed in the vicinity of the National Stadium. Arthur Wint Drive will operate as one-way west to east from North Avenue to the junction of Roosevelt Avenue and will be closed to vehicular traffic at the junction of Roosevelt Avenue and Mountain View Avenue.

Drivers travelling along Mountain View Avenue wishing to use Arthur Wint Drive will have to continue along Mountain View Avenue using Stanton Terrace or Old Hope Road.

Only vehicles transporting patrons to the stadium will be allowed entry beyond this point to the car park and traffic will be allowed along Roosevelt Avenue from Stanton Terrace.
