Karoline Smith is a dynamic, creative and talented individual who possesses exceptional oral and written communication skills. She is a team builder and a leader by nature with exceptional management skills, techniques and abilities. She hails from the parish of Portland and credits her mother, grandmother and other members of her family for her spirit of determination.
She attended Titchfield High School and later went on to pursue further studies at Cornell and Ryerson universities.
She joined the hospitality industry in 1994 at the Renaissance Jamaica Grande resort, as a guest relations agent, and was promoted to wedding sales coordinator and public relations assistant after just one year. She joined SuperClubs' Grand Lido Sans Souci in early 1998 as assistant front office manager and, after three months, was promoted to front office manager. Smith worked her way up the corporate ladder very quickly because of her dedication and hard work.
In December 2004, she exited the hospitality industry as executive manager with SuperClubs to join the Cool Group as the manager for Cool Marts, the convenience stores at the Cool Oasis Travellers' Haven. She was then promoted to human resources manager for Cool Petroleum Limited in 2007, a position she currently holds.
Her lifelong dream is to make a positive contribution to the development of human resource and commerce in Jamaica. She feels very strongly about giving back to her community so her spare time is spent offering her hand to church, the Titchfield Old Students' Association and many other charitable foundations.
