Capital and Credit Remittance appoints general manager

Dixon-Brown

Capital and Credit Remittance Limited (CCRL) has appointed a general manager to operate its local remittance business.

On March 1, 2009, Sheron Dixon-Brown, formerly the manager of remittance services at CCRL, was appointed general manager by chairman and group president of Capital and Credit Financial Group, Ryland T. Campbell. Campbell says the appointment will effect better efficiencies, synergies and ultimately increased profitability for the money transfer business.

In her newly created post, Dixon-Brown has responsibility for the management of the overall local remittance operations, as well as business with overseas alliances.

According to Campbell, organi-sational strategies implemented for the remittance business resulted in positive trends in profitability by the end of 2008, although this business arm lagged behind in the delivery of strong performance compared to its sister companies in the group.

For her part, Dixon-Brown says, "Plans are in place to thrust the remittance business on a more focused path to growth and profitability."

Sheron Dixon-Brown has 22 years experience in the financial industry, specialising in customer service and operations. She holds an MBA in international business from the Mona School of Business, University of the West Indies (UWI) and also a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and management (Honours) from the UWI.
