York move three clear
YORK SPORTS CLUB created some breathing space between themselves and Manchioneal after surprising the host team Port Morant 3-1 in their Eastern Confederation Super League football match-up at Cotton Tree Oval on Sunday.

First-half strikes from Anthony Gayle, Damion Hibbert and Rafie Green set the visitors on course for an easy victory. York had suffered a 1-0 loss to Manchioneal the previous Sunday.

Port Morant, who suffered a 4-0 drubbing by Brazil a week earlier, got their consolation goal courtesy of Stretarrdo Thompson, who scored in the second half.

Weekend victory

In other matches, St Ann Bauxite registered a 1-0 victory over Eagle Strikers at Kaiser Sports Club, Brazil held Star Cosmos to a 1-1 stalemate at Drax Hall and Bath ambushed Axum 2-0.
