Congrats, Black River Hospital
The Editor, Sir:

I feel quite compelled to write to congratulate the staff at the Black River Hospital. On a recent visit to the hospital, I observed that their clinics were very organised. I spoke to Nurse Neish for a brief moment and it was with pride she beamed when she told me that special attention is given to all their patients.

She further explained that all patients who are booked for surgery meet with the entire surgical team in the clinics prior to their surgery. When the surgery day actually arrives, the patient is less fearful as they would have already met the team which includes the theatre nurses, the surgeon and anaesthetist. When this meeting takes place in the clinic, Nurse Neish said patients are informed about what to expect and any concern they might have is addressed accordingly.

Dr Malcolm was equally proud of the improvements at the Black River Hospital. He emphasised that patient care is of top priority.

Congratulations Black River Hospital and keep up the excellent work.

I am, etc.,

Z. Williams.
