Let us pray

As we pass the half-way mark of yet another winter tourist season, players in the local industry must be thanking God for the visitors who have chosen Jamaica to date and asking Him to send us many more as the days progress.

Carrole Guntley (pictured) is director general in the Ministry of Tourism, and was one of many who turned up to pray for the nation in January at the National Leadership Prayer Breakfast. We asked her what favourite passage of scripture was and she shared two.

Psalm 23:

"The Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need.

He lets me rest in the fields of green grass ..., I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live."

Psalm 121:

"I look to the mountains, where will my help come from? My help will come from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth ... . He will protect you as you come and go, now and forever."
