WESTERN BUREAU:

They brought helmets, shoes, magazines, shirts, hats, posters and one woman even had a rubber duck in hand, ready to capture a famous signature that could fetch millions in years to come.

The event was the arrival of the Chicago Bears' wide receiver and return specialist, Devin Hester; defensive tackle, Dusty Dvoracek; fullback, Jason McKie and running back, Adrian Peterson's autograph signing of memorabilia at RIU Resorts, Montego Bay, on Monday.

Football clinics

More than 90 fans from the United States midwest arrived here for football clinics with their favourite players, while experiencing Jamaica's culture.

The week-long visit was organised by one of the United States' biggest charter operators, in collaboration with RIU Resorts.

This is the third annual trip for players and fans of the Bears at RIU Resorts, organised by Apple Vacations.

Adrian Peterson and his wife say they plan to visit Bob Marley's birthplace in St. Ann during their stay.
