No one is beyond redemption
The Editor, Sir:

I cannot say that I understand same-sex relationships, but I do understand that like adultery, and fornication, it is a sin committed against the body temple.

We cannot simply state that homosexuals are full of rage and are violent. There is good and bad in every human being under the sun. I have interacted with gay men who were extremely sensitive, kind and brilliant people who were sought after by female students who dreamed of breaking them out of their deviant practices.

High and low ranking men

"As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end"; "there is nothing new under the sun". History tells us that the Greeks, the Romans and The English had high- and low-ranking men with their young boy playmates. Every country can claim their fair share of people with deviant sexual behaviour. The adults of some tribes in Africa looked in another direction when the young males enjoyed sexual escapades with each other until they wed the maidens who were chosen for them.

All mortals are guilty of sin; however, if we love one another and our Creator, we would pray for these people who are led into such mysterious temptations. No human being is beyond redemption.

I say every human being should be able to explore his or her full potential in public or private service. I only draw the line where the Church is concerned. A gay person cannot lead people to the righteous kingdom.

I am, etc.,
