Village, Boys' Town draw
Richard Morais, Gleaner Writer

WESTERN BUREAU:

Village United and Boys' Town gave as much as they received and it is probably poetic justice that they shared the two goals scored in their Digicel Premier League game at the Elleston Wakeland Centre yesterday.

Although being Jamaica's top league, it is a rarity to see a regular seven or eight passes strung together, but the teams put on a show with that many passes or more regularly to leave the spectators delighted.

With such a team effort, it is probably contradictory to highlight any individual players but Teofore Bennett of Village United and Michael Campbell of Boys' Town were outstanding and both provided assists.

Everett Mulling scored for Village United in the 50th minute when he was left unmarked in the centre of goal, on the edge of the penalty box. He took a couple of steps to rocket the ball pass the 'keeper.

Boys' Town replied 13 minutes later when Campbell took a perfect corner for Peter Keyes to head the ball into the net.
