Third place Bull Bay will seek to close the gap on the leaders when they face Real Mona in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA)/Claro Super League competition at Buttercup Park this afternoon, starting at 3:30 p.m.
Bull Bay are on 22 points, four behind leaders Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) (26), who will battle Cavalier (21) at the Constant Spring Sports Complex.
Real Mona are in eighth place in the standings on 15 points.
Bull Bay defeated Real Mona 1-0 in their first meeting this season and their manager, Kenrick Barnaby, said they are aiming at another win.
"We are going to take this game very seriously because our aim his to collect all three points," said Barnaby.
Nothing for granted
"We are not going to take anything for granted because all the teams in this competition have been playing very competitively and we want to make sure that we stay as close at possible to the leaders," Barnaby added.
Peter Moses, coach of Real Mona said they are looking to turn the tables, but it will be a difficult task.
"It is going to be a very competitive game because they defeated us in our first game; but my team is a lot more prepared now and we are definitely going for all three points."
Moses added: "We are playing very competitive so far this season because we are the only team in this league to have beaten the leaders, JDF, on their home ground.
"I think that despite the inexperience in my team, I believe that the players are getting better with every game that they've played," Moses said.
August Town (23) are second, while Santos (20), Constant Spring (20), Duhaney Park (17), Maverley-Hughenden (7), Police National (6), Mountain View (5) and Liguanea United (1) complete the standings.
