Paul Hanworth

Hanworth selected

Paul Hanworth was appointed director of the Jamaica Property Company Limited effective January 29. JPC is a subsidiary of First Jamaica Investments Limited, which is controlled by the Facey family.

Scotia board contracts

Scotia Group Jamaica has cut its board positions from 17 to 15. Bruce Bowen is the new face on the board, replacing former president and CEO William 'Bill' Clarke, who resigned last October, while Stacie Wright, Scotia's chief financial officer, was not reseated.

Another director Professor Celia Christie Samuels had resigned from July 28, 2008. Her seat was not refilled.

Robert Pitfield, head of international banking, Scotiabank Canada, remains chairman and Mayer Matalon, deputy chairman.

Scotia DBG board now 10

Stacie Wright has also not been reseated on the Scotia DBG Investments board, which has contracted from 11 to 10. The re-elected directors of Scotia DBG are Stephen Vasciannie (chairman), Barbara Alexander, Anthony Chang, Angela Fowler, Muna Issa, Anna Law, Anya Schnoor (chief executive officer), Anthony Woodward, Philip Martin and Bruce Bowen, who fills the slot previously held by his predecessor William Clarke.
