THE GIBSON Relays Organising Committee, headed by Neville 'Teddy' McCook, chairman, will focus on anti-doping measures in sports, at their technical corner this year.
The technical corner will be held at the G.C. Foster College on Thursday, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Dr Gabriel Dolle of the Interna-tional Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) will be conducting the technical corner, which McCook says is open to all sporting representatives.
"We feel with the new thrust by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), Dr Dolle, who is the medical doctor for the IAAF, the body that is dominant in the testing of athletes, would be here to discuss all aspects of the programme with interested parties," explained McCook, the IAAF area representative.
McCook, who is also the president of the North America, Central America and Caribbean Track and Field Association, added: "We are appealing to all the people who are involved in sports, not only track and field, but other sports, who will come up under the testing programme, that they should probably come and seek advice and direction from Dr Dolle, who will answer all the questions."
The 2009 Gibson Relays will be held at the National Stadium on Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m.
Tickets will go on sale on Thursday at the National Stadium ticket office.
