The status means Hillel is now a registered centre of the university and will offer a broad range of qualifications available through its University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
CIE is the world's largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19-year-olds.
Long list of qualifications
It offers a broad range of qualifications, including the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education and Interna-tional A/AS Level.
CIE qualifications are accepted in 150 countries.
Principal of Hillel, Alfredo Bennett, said the school was proud to be associated with Cambridge.
"It [will] enable us to extend our service and offer quality education to the local community," he said.
Ann Puntis, chief executive officer of University of Cambridge International Examinations, said the school was also looking forward to working with Hillel.
"We are delighted that Hillel has become a registered centre and look forward to a long and productive relationship, which will be of great benefit to students throughout the region," she said.
