That would not solve any crime. It would only make more guns be out on the streets. I rarely hear of cases where a licensed firearms holder kills a criminal. All that would happen is that the criminals would target these firearm holders to take their guns.

There would not be any reduction in crime, if anything, it would only get worse! This is Jamaica and more guns mean more killing! If some people own a licensed gun, they are going to make everybody know. It cyaan work!

There are advantages and disadvantages if such an initiative were undertaken. Advantages are that it would help ward off criminal elements and you could help protect your family and your neighbours. The disadvantage is that a lot of persons may be tempted to abuse their licence. I really think this would help in reducing crime.

I don't think so because the country would go into a state of war! The fewer guns in the country, whether licensed or illegal, the less gun violence there would be in our society. Guns are the main weapons used for violent acts ... so we need to get rid of them!
