Divisional leagues get going
The Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Supreme Ventures division 'A' and 'C' leagues will begin today with an opening ceremony and dress parade at the National Indoor Sports Complex, starting 2:30 p.m.

The Lucky5 and Dollaz Rally competition will be held at the Leila Robinson Courts following the opening ceremony.

Entries in the 'C' league have increased from 18 to 22 teams, while 10 teams will compete in the 'A' division.

The winners of the 'A' league will advance to the Super League competition, while the victors in the 'C' league will move up a notch to the 'B' segment.

Patricia Thomas, organiser of the tournament, is urging members of the public to come out in the numbers and support the teams.

"I believe that this year's tournament will be very competitive because a number of our national Under-13 and Under-21 players will be playing in both competitions," said Thomas.

"I think that people should come out and watch these games because they are going to be very exciting, as a number of our future stars will be on show and all the teams in both competitions are evenly matched," Thomas added.
