It was a day of celebration for Capital & Credit Financial Group, as staff gathered with friends and family to commemorate the company's 15th anniversary last Sunday, in a service at the Garrison Church of the Ascension, Up Park Camp, St Andrew.

The Rt Rev Dr Robert Thompson, Bishop of Kingston, in his sermon, told the congregation if, as leaders, they had remind their workers that they were in charge, that meant their leadership was in trouble. He also pointed out that during these times of economic hardship, ... "when you do 95 per cent your required work, that is when your work has just begun, because the more you give, the more you receive."

Short and uplifting

Dr Thompson also drew from Mark 10:43-45. "But whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister and whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life as a ransom for many." The sermon was short and uplifting.

A celebratory brunch followed at the Officer's Mess, 3JR at the camp. The décor and meal were Jamaican-themed. There were no formalities; guests just mingled and enjoyed the festivities until it was time to say goodbye.
