The pride of her husband Richard Bennett's eyes, the mother every child yearns for and the daughter every parent dreams of - Angella Bennett had many more reasons, besides her birthday, to celebrate on Wednesday.

Bennett, RIU Resorts' face in Jamaica was fêted by her close friends and relatives at the Twisted Kilt in Montego Bay. They lauded her for the 38 years she has brought happiness to the lives of those who come into contact with her.

Happy memories

"A source of so much happiness, you epitomise a part of so many happy memories. There are people who bring happiness to others day-by-day and you're just that kind of person, extra special in every way," declared her best friend, Cathay McDonald, in a card.

Her other friend, Sophia Swaby, said, "thanks for making me a very lucky person".

Bennett's children, Katarina and Sean; father, Percival Gray; co-workers, Marvin Campbell, Rose Skinner and Niurka Garcia; celebrated in an intimate setting of very close friends.
