It was January 20, and throughout the world millions watched as two men of great distinctions faced each other - Barack Obama and John Roberts (president-elect and chief justice). One blinked, Roberts, while the other, Obama, held his ground until the blinker restarted himself. The president was showing strong character and preparedness. We now awaited his address.
His presentation was robust and stimulating, providing a wholesome working model of analysis and desirable assault on the plaguing issues affecting the United States of America and the world.
Gluttonous appetite
There was the imagery of frustrating wars, angry tyrants of the world, the financial supercons, à la Madoff to be removed. The institutions and companies that did not practise economics 101 nor elementary accounting - defying standards with gluttonous appetite for greed, Obama proclaimed his 21st-century desiderata.
Although most loved the presentation, there are some who articulated negative criticism, claiming they did not get a 'sound bite'. To them, I say that the speech was a satisfying mouthful with plenty of 'bites'.
It was truly an elixir for the mind!
I am, etc.,
