Usain Bolt's management team is expected to assess offers carefully this year before deciding on meets for the world's superstar.

Ricky Simms, manager of triple Olympic Games gold medallist Bolt, has confirmed his client is in huge demand this season. However, Simms was quick to point out that he would have to assess all the offers before final decisions could be taken, pertaining to the meets he would run this year.

"We cannot choose any meet yet until we assess all the offers," he said while pointing out that "we want to give everyone a fair shot".

Since Bolt's breathtaking performances at the Beijing Olympics where he was involved in three world records - 9.69 (100m), 19.30 200m and 37.10 (4x100) - meet directors around the world are clamouring for his presence.

"Every meet in the world would want to have Usain Bolt there, but (after looking at the offers) I would have go back to coach Glen Mills and we will discuss which is more appropriate for his particular preparation at that time," Simms told The Gleaner in a telephone interview from London yesterday.

A Toronto Star newspaper report reported organisers were luring Bolt to an international track and field meet to be staged at the University of Toronto, for which he could attract an appearance fee of US$250,000.
