Psychic vs prophet
The Editor, Sir;

With reference to your report, 'Prophecy fulfilled', published January 14, journalists must recognise that there is a difference between a psychic and a seer/prophet of God and the repercussions of receiving the word of a psychic rather than a prophet of God.

A prophet of God or seer is a spi-ritually mature spokesman/woman of God, with a special divinely focused message to the Church or to the world - and a person uniquely gifted at times with insight to future events. They operate with the Spirit of God, as in Jeremiah 1:4-10.

A psychic/clairvoyant operate with the spirit of divination (Acts 16: 16-24; Leviticus 19: 26). They operate with various tools including, familiar spirits/spirit guides, crystal balls, tarot cards, tea leaves, astrology, horoscopes, etc.

Deceived

Let us clearly understand, a clairvoyant is not a child of God. Checking various dictionaries reveal several meanings for the term 'clairvoyant'.

In these times the deception is great! We must be aware in order to ensure that we are not deceived. (Matthew 24: 4-5)

Having made predictions for more than 30 years only indicates the person has been involved in such activities for that length of time. Is she a Christian? Who is her pastor? To whom does she submit? Does she possess/exemplify the fruit of the Spirit?

It is surprising that in that report no one mentioned prophecy number 57 published January 5 concerning the 'Double G'.

Peace and blessings.

I am, etc.,
