Excellent work by JPS employee
THE EDITOR, Sir:

I would like to use this medium to extend kudos to Stacey Reid, a customer service representative at the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS).

We, as customers, often voice our opinions when we are dissatisfied and sometimes forget to say thanks when things are done well. On January 8, I made several calls to the JPS Customer Service Department to sort out my employer's disconnection, and also an emergency reconnection at the office.

I made several calls to JPS and talked with a few customer service representatives to no avail. Later in the afternoon, I got connected to one Stacey Reid. To be honest, I have never had someone at a company so courteous, helpful, thoughtful and patient as this young lady.

Reconnections

While she had me on the line, she was arranging for the reconnections to be done, and within 20 minutes the lights were reconnected at the office. The service was so excellent I have to 'big her up' so that all Jamaicans can know that we still have people employed to places like JPS who are professional and caring.
