Despite the loss, Hy-Performance are on top in the standings with eight points, followed by the JDF and Pembroke Hall who have seven each, Athletico Port Antonio (six), University of Technology (five) and University of the West Indies (two). The top two teams at the end of the round will advance to the semi-finals.
Individual results
In individual results, former national champion Christopher Marsh won two matches for the JDF by defeating Emani McPherson 3-1 (8-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-6) and Robert Hyatt 3-1 (11-5, 11-9, 5-11, 12-10). Phillip Drummond won the third match for JDF, tagging McPherson 3-1 (4-11, 14-12, 11-8, 12-10).
Hyatt then clipped Drummond 3-2 (5-11, 11-9, 11-7, 8-11, 11-8) and national junior representative Don-Walker Petinaud outlasted Stephen Grant 3-2 (6-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-4, 11-4) for Hy-Performance's two triumphs.
