How will new GG serve?
The Editor, Sir:

I totally disagree with this choice of a new Governor General. As a true Seventh-day Adventist, is the Pastor Patrick Allen going to give up his religion to conform with requirements of the post of governor-general?

When heads of state come to visit Jamaica is the pastor going to shut down his receptions at King's House at Friday "sundown" and all day on Saturday, or are visiting dignitaries going to be hosted at King's House only on Sundays to Fridays before "sundown"?

Two many questions

And what about the menus at dinner parties which are a requirement? Will meats be served or vegetarian dishes only? Can the pastor attend certain functions that are required by the post but which are frowned upon by the Seventh-day Adventists?

Will he be able to attend services in churches of other doctrinal emphases? There are two many questions marks and conflicts of interest here.

I am, etc.,

M. RUSSELL
