Start with Laws of the Cat
LAWS OF THE CAT, a four-year old filly by Law of the Sea-Chikiney should give Pick-6 players a winning start in tomorrow's fifth race over 1000 metres straight at Caymanas Park.

The Carl Anderson-trained filly got off the mark in impressive fashion on August 16 last year, beating Spaceman by three lengths over 1000m round, but has found the going rough among non-winners of two company. She is, however, back very fresh after an over three months break running against fillies and mares and will have to be caught. She advertised her well-being on January 6, galloping 1000m in 1:01.2 on the exercise track and should give apprentice Jason Simpson an armchair ride.

Maiden three-year-olds

Next on the Pick-6 is a 1500-metre event for maiden three-year-olds where SIR JAADU BABA is a good bet to upset the ante post favourite SERGEANT STONEHAN. Sent off at 6-5 on December 27 the latter finished third in a fairly good 1:27.2 over 1400. He appeared one-paced throughout, however, and was beaten for second on the line by REAL NATIVE who renews rivalry tomorrow. Both will carry 54kg.

Both should, however, fall prey to SIR JAADU BABA who is back fit after being declared a late non-starter on November 19 last year because of lameness. The Howard Jaghai-trained colt has looked very strong on the exercise track and will be hard to beat with just 52kg on his back.

'Lone speed' DOLLA WIN, to be ridden by Devon A. Thomas, should have all the answers in the seventh race. PLEASURE FLIGHT has run faster times for the 1600m distance but DOLLA WIN, who warmed up for tomorrow's race with a 59.1 clocking for fourth behind First Time Lucky over 1000m straight last Saturday, should be in front from the off and will not be caught.

MAMBO and COCK ROBIN hold all the answers to the fourth Pick-6 event, a 1400m race in the $180,000 claiming group for horses that have not won since August 9 last year. Both have been in very good form. MAMBO has finished second in his past two starts (1600m then 1820m) and is very fit. He will also be 3kg lighter than his main rival. COCK ROBIN is the faster of the two and despite the heavy impost of 57kg, will dictate the pace from the off and MAMBO will come running on when it is too late.

MUCHO GUSTO and STICKSONTHELOOSE are poised to give trained Anthony Nunes a quick double in the last two races.

Impressive win

Down to be ridden by Paul Francis, MUCHO GUSTO was beaten by under two lengths in the grade one Gold Cup on December 6 and now racing against lesser horses will not be denied. SLOGAN did win impressively on last but that was with a lightweight 51kg. Now he has been asked to carry 5kg more and will not be around when the race is being decided.

STICKSONTHELOOSE who chased a 23.3, 46.4 pace behind the highly thought of Twentyfirstofjune on December 3 will be to swift for $200,000 claimers in the last over 100m straight and should be well clear when they come into the final 200m.
