WESTERN BUREAU:

MoBay businessman Robert Russell put his culinary skills to work in preparing the delicious curried goat. His wife, Beverly, gave her all to the suckling pig, while daughter Anna-Kaye took responsibility for the roti, roasted chicken, shrimp, gungo peas soup, rice and gungo peas on New Year's Day.

A calendar event

The family of exceptional cooks opened the gates of their Mahoe Bay beachside home in Montego Bay last Thursday, for the 10th year, to close friends and acquaintances for their annual 'feel-good' soirée that has become a calendar event out west.

Out for the casual and quiet affair were: KPMG's Peter Pearson; Kise Rose, SuperClubs' Sam James and wife, Yvonne; Neville and Madge Levy; MoBay Proper's Judith Thompson and Stretch Robinson; Tourism Enhancement Fund's Godfrey Dyer, his granddaughter, Kiana and wife Odette; Royal Shop's Alan, Michelle and Andy Daswani; Urban Development Corporation's Joy Douglas, Casa de Oro's Indru Dadlani, Bobby and Eleanor Miller; American Airlines' Lorna Francis, Minister of Agriculture, Dr Christopher Tufton and wife, Neadene; accountant George and Lyn Holloway; attorney George Thomas and banker Andrea Lyle; businessman Cecil Bird; Montego Bay Mayor Charles Sinclair; Rose Hall Resort and Spa's Joe Hilton, Rose Hall Development's Stanley Constantine and the rest of the Russell clan, Shari and husband, Marlon Edwards, Jason and Robin; and Peta-Gaye King.

The inseparable duo, Courtney Hamilton and his better half, Judy Farmer, started 2009 in fine style at Robert and Beverly Russells' annual party at their home in Mahoe Bay, Montego Bay, St James.
