In celebration of Jamaica

1. Billionaire fashion designer Ralph Lauren is definitely proud of his Jamaican association. Not only does he start his new year at the posh Round Hill Hotel in St James where one of his five homes is located, he recently created the Jamaica paisley watercolour-inspired bedding collection. The new line is currently being featured in fine stores in the United States. From clothing to home furnishings, Lauren has created a luxurious global lifestyle which is desired by the preppy set. Jamaica needs more of his kind.

Oh to be nipped and tucked!

2. Music fans got an opportunity over the holidays to see how a nip here and a tuck there can help to confirm what fabulous looks like. Compliments were flying off the wall for the ever-so-gorgeous entertainer and they came from men and women alike. Needless to say, many are asking for the secret weapon. It only requires strong dollars and one doesn't even have to leave these shores - the hardest decision is perhaps should it be City No 1 or City No 2?

And there shall be no reconciliation

3. Our phones have been ringing off the hook since we suggested the possibility of a reconciliation. "No way!" declared friends of the ex. And gal pals of the current love interest have ridiculed the suggestion as a figment of someone's imagination. OK then, let's see what happens next.

A criminal in their midst

4. The folks have worked hard to establish a fine community along the coastal regions. Returned residents all, they have developed a neighbourly attitude towards each other. But recent burglaries have confirmed that there is a thief in their midst. Fingers have been pointing at a certain person. People are afraid to make a formal report to the authorities.
