Tom Cruise wants 10 children.

The 'Valkyrie' actor, who already has a two-year-old daughter, Suri, with wife Katie Holmes and two adopted children, Isabella, 16, and Connor, 13, with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, plans to have an enormous family.

He said: "I want 10 children. I love kids. But I feel really fortunate to have the teenagers and a two-and-a-half-year-old. It's a great dynamic."

The 46-year-old star, who insists he always makes time for his children, despite his hectic acting career, is convinced his love of parenting is due to his own father not being around a lot when he was young.

Great parent

He added in an interview with Britain's The Sun newspaper: "My own father wasn't there much for me and I want to be a different dad to my kids. My family is the most important thing in my life.

"I'm a great parent. I want to be with my kids, and they get to do all the stuff that I wanted to do when I was growing up."

The actor also joked about the 16-year age gap between him and 30-year-old Katie, saying: "If I'm worried about anything, it's if she can keep up with me!"
